Our Publishers Training at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad has been specially tailored to meet the needs of CEOs and senior managers. The five-day programme imparts new business strategies and shows how the market mechanisms prevalent in the publishing industry work. It is the perfect platform for industry leaders to exchange views and experiences with colleagues from all over the world.
In cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, the Frankfurt Book Fair has been successfully conducting post-entry career training for publishers and publishing company staff in the Arab world since 2006.
12 to 14 December 2011 a workshop will be hosted for professionals in the Maghreb region working in publishing management. The workshop will be held in Casablanca, Morocco.
“Digitisation as a Publishing Challenge”
The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with basic knowledge on digitisation in production, marketing, sales and copyright, and prepare them for pending developments in the Arab market. Strategic models for publishers will be developed collaboratively during the workshop. The workshop contents will be imparted through a mixture of theoretical instruction, practical exercises, examples from daily work in the publishing business, and group work.
