Even if your store is very busy because of all the media coverage of the Book Fair, it is always worth a trip to Frankfurt.
At the Frankfurt Book Fair, you can meet with many publishing representatives, meet publishers in person and exchange ideas with other bookseller colleagues.

Hall 4.0 is particularly interesting for booksellers. Here you will find the Booksellers Centre with a cafeteria and lockers and, directly beside it, exhibitors in the Stationery & Gifts section – a treasure trove of new ideas for expanding your product range, including articles for the Christmas season.

Hall 4.0 is also where you’ll find many service providers who could be of interest to your business: shop architects, book distributors, software producers, etc. At the Frankfurt Book Fair, you can get an overview of what’s available and find the offers that could best help you in your daily business.

Numerous events also offer an insight into the publishing industry’s newest developments – on this page you will find an overview of the offers for booksellers.

What does the Frankfurt Book Fair provide for Booksellers?

At the Frankfurt Book Fair, we support booksellers with numerous free offers, events and with a central meeting place to exchange ideas with colleagues and to network with business partners.

Here is an overview of our new offers and services:

  • Every bookshops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is allowed to two free five-day-tickets for Frankfurt Book Fair 2012
  • Bookshops outside Germany are entitled to two free tickets if they are members of the European or International Booksellers Federation (EBF/IBF)
  • Trainees are also entitled to one free ticket
  • The Frankfurt Book Fair promotional materials can be ordered free of charge from our webshop if you quote your customer number (only available in Germany)
  • As in previous years, we will be running our competitionagain to find the most attractive shop window decoration on the theme of the Guest of Honour, "Fabulous Iceland". prizes include a trip to Iceland, an iceland evening to be stages in the winning bookshop and more.
  • In preparation for the Guest of Honour appearance, the Frankfurt Book Fair is providing a list of new German-language publications on iceland, which can be downloaded for free
  • A large work centre is available for booksellers at the fair, the Booksellers Centre
  • At the Booksellers Centre, you can obtain a free copy of the Frankfurt Book Fair Catalogue, including a pocket guide

Booksellers are welcome in the Booksellers Centre of Frankfurt Book Fair in hall 4.0. We will be there helping you to make the most out of your book fair visit.
You will find a wide spectrum of industry service providers exhibiting at the Centre. You can also meet with colleagues and business partners in the cafeteria at the Booksellers Centre, or just take a breather after doing the rounds at the Fair.

Throughout the duration of the Fair, our extensive team at the Centre will be available to talk with you or to answer any questions. We look forward to your visit!

June 2012: Advance Sale with 25% Discount for Booksellers

You can purchase tickets before the Fair begins: either online or by fax. We offer a 25% discount off the price of trade visitor tickets if you buy them in advance. This applies to five-day tickets as well as one-day tickets. You will also avoid having to wait at the ticket office. Plus, your pre-purchased tickets may be used for use of free public transport (RMV) as soon as you arrive.

Online advance booking is available up until the end of the Frankfurt Book Fair – as long as you have access to a printer, this is no problem. If you have a smartphone, you may also use our mobile ticket option.

If you order using our fax form, your ticket will be sent to you by post. The deadline for booking by fax is 23 Sept. 2011.

Booksellers and librarians will also receive the advance booking discount of 25% at the ticket offices.

For a weekend visit, we recommend trade visitors to consider buying the low-priced general public tickets.

Service for Members of EBF/ IBF

The International and European Booksellers Federation at the Frankfurt Book Fair The Frankfurt Book Fair is cooperating with the International and the European Booksellers Federations. Members of the two organisations are allowed to two free tickets for the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The tickets will be sent by post mail. End of registration: 1 September.
