How to proceed

On request, we can send personal invitations to exhibitors and trade visitors from countries with visa requirements for Germany. You can use this invitation to apply to the relevant German embassy or the applicable German consulate general for a visa to cover your stay in Germany during the Book Fair. There is however no guarantee that you will in fact be granted a visa.

Please note that your registration as a trade visitor is obligatory before applying for your personal Visa-Invitation-Letter.

You have until 17 September to request your invitation. But please make sure you allow for the qualifying times for visa applications in your country and consult the websites of the local German representative authorities.

Exhibitors and trade visitors from China are requested to contact the visa service at the Frankfurt Book Fair office in Beijing.
