This is how to travel from the airport and the main train station to the exhibition site
Shuttles and public transport bring you to us - from the train station even by foot!
The S-Bahn fast train services S8 and S9 (direction "Hanau")
run at frequent intervals, taking you from the airport to Frankfurt's Main Station in about 10 minutes.
During the Book Fair there will operate a shuttle bus service from Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 (arrival level, bus platform 1 near first pedestrian crossing) via Terminal 2 (exit E) to the exhibition site (Galleria Entrance and to the Entrance Hall 3 East side) and vice versa.
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is situated approx. 120 km from Frankfurt city centre. A bus transfer is provided by Bohr Omnibus GmbH, taking 1 hour and 45 minutes one way and cost 12 euros per person (2009). The bus leaves directly in front of the terminal building and arrives at the south side of Frankfurt's Main Station ("Hauptbahnhof").
Whether you come by urban railway, tube, tram or on foot.
Here you find your way from the central station to the fair.
With public transport:
The S-Bahn will take you right to the centre of the exhibition site - to the "Messe" station where you enter via the "Torhaus" entrance.
The underground (U4) will take you to the "City" entrance station in less than 5 minutes (direction "Bockenheimer Warte"). You can also take trams 16 and 17 to the exhibition site.
On foot:
You need about 10 minutes to walk from the north side of Frankfurt Main Station to the exhibition site. Take "Düsseldorfer Straße" to reach "Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage" and just head for the "Messeturm" there.
