The programme at the Frankfurt Book Fair
The Hot Spots are dedicated to present digital topics, the Gourmet Gallery offers delicacies and the Professional Programme works on even more themes that are relevant to the publishing world.
Digitisation in the book trade is one of the main topics of our programme 2010. We have organised a special professional programme for our trade visitors under the headline "Best Practice - New Ideas".
All events can be found in the Calendar of Events. Next to the Frankfurt Catalogue, it is the most important tool of information for exhibitors and visitors. Exhibitors can register their events free of charge as of now.
Frankfurt Hot Spots

Registration of your events
Last year the Calendar included more than 3,000 events. You can be a part of it as well. Register your events free of charge now. They will appear online and in the print edition of this year´s Calendar of Events, which comes out 1 October 2010.
Online-registration will be possible soon.
The easiest and quickest method is the online-registration. If you are the online-administrator for your company or have a valid Who's Who-entry, log in on our website. Then please click on "Company data" and on "Register events". The system will lead you through the registration within a few minutes. Please have your customers in mind who you wish to reach and attract with your event. Is the translation in German sensible? The naming of the participants?
Please organise your event BEFORE registering it here for publication. The relevant people to help you along can be found on the left.
Alternatively, instead of registering your event online, you may use the following form.
Or you may use the required information from the form above and send an E-mail with a Word doc. or an Excel document with your events to: calendar@book-fair.com.
Deadline
The early deadline for all events regarding the Guest of Honour:
15 August 2010 if sent by fax or E-mail
31 August 2010 if registered online (all events)
(your entries will be checked editorially and then be published automatically).
Registrations or change requests reaching us after these dates can only find entry in the online edition of the Calendar of Events.
There will be two print editions of the Calendar of Events. One featuring all events on the exhibition site AND the other with all events in Frankfurt and close by. They will come out on 1 October 2010, the most recently updated version will always be the online Calendar.
Observation of international book markets, new business strategies, international rights trade: the Frankfurt Book Fair offers its exhibitors and visitors a densely packed programme of events. You get to know new markets and business partners and find out about trends in the industry.
