Registration as professional visitor
If you want to visit the Fair during the professional days, you need to register as a professional visitor. Registration takes a few minutes and is free of charge.
You are trade visitor, if you
- are involved professionally in the development, production, marketing or communication of print and electronic media or the arts
- work in the education sector
- are a student (all fields of study)
- are author
- are journalist
How registration works
When you register for the first time, please:
- 1. Click onto "My Book Fair" Registration at the very top of our website on on the link below
- 2. Click onto "Registration exhibitors and trade visitors" and enter your data - it takes only a few minutes
If you were already registered last year with your own profile, you can continue using this now for the Frankfurt Book Fair 2013.
For data protection reasons, however, we are obliged to receive your permission before we can continue saving your user account. Please log in, check your profile and revise or confirm your user account data.
Important:
After saving your details, you will receive an e-mail from us containing a link. You must click on this to activate your profile. This step allows us to check the validity of the e-mail address given during registration. After receiving successfully, you can buy your trade visitor ticket online and print it out at your own convenience.

How to use your ticket voucher
Vouchers for trade visitor tickets must be exchanged for personalised trade visitor tickets prior to admission.
Here’s how to do it:
- 3. Register as a trade visitor on the Book Fair website, free-of-charge: www.book-fair.com. You can only get your ticket once you are registered online as a trade visitor.
- 2. Use your voucher: As a registered trade visitor, log on to www.book-fair.com. Then simply enter the voucher code to obtain your personalised entrance ticket.
- 3. Print out the ticket: you can print it from your own computer, then use it for admission to the Fair.
Important information:
- The name of the registered individual is on the entrance ticket. Subsequent changes to this are not possible.
- Third parties for whom you wish to use trade visitor ticket vouchers must also be registered online as trade visitors.
- Private visitor vouchers cannot be used online; they are already valid for admission.
You can also exchange the voucher at the Book Fair itself, using the terminal installed for this purpose. However, we recommend that you use the online system described here as it saves time.
