Bologna Children’s Book Fair
23 to 26 March 2010
As in previous years, the 2009 event was highly international and able to present around 1,300 exhibitors from 67 countries, as well as 29 collective stands.
With a presence of just under 100, Italian publishing companies are in the minority in Bologna. 4,623 foreign trade visitors (approx. 1.7 per cent fewer than in the previous year) came to the fair.
Your gain as a visitor
2010 will see a wide-ranging programme of events which traditionally begins for German participants with the avj reception on the eve of the first day of the fair. We provide a contact programme for Bologna newcomers and all those looking for new contacts. Another highlight will be our professional seminar “Quick Rights” scheduled for 22 March 2010.
Bologna is all about networking - with this in mind, we would like to invite you to a reception to be held on the German collective stand at 5.00 p.m. on 23 March.
In addition and in cooperation with the Arbeitsgemeinschaft von Jugendbuchverlagen (avj) - Children’s Book Publishers Group -, German-language children’s and teen book publishing companies will be introducing themselves and their books in an exhibition on the stand. The titles on display are particularly suitable for the sale of foreign rights and licences.
Also, if you are interested in coming to the Frankfurt Book Fair as an exhibitor, our colleagues will be happy to assist you!
