We are the competent partner for inquiries on all aspects of the German and Chinese book sector.
The Book Information Centre works with a mixed mandate that balances straightforward business interests against a cultural-political mission, the aim of which is to increase the mutual transparency of the two country's book industries, and thereby to intensify German-Chinese cooperation.
The activities of the BIZ Beijing are designed to encourage the comprehensive and long-term cooperation between the book industries of China and Germany. It promotes the rights trade and it helps industry experts and stakeholders from the German publishing scene to participate in Asian book fairs. Likewise, it also facilitates the attendance of Chinese publishers, booksellers and media specialists at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

These include book exhibitions, rights offers, training programmes (e.g. seminars for publishers and booksellers), participation at cultural events, professional networking trips and exchange programmes, and contacts to multipliers on the ground. It provides information through its online and offline media, including updates on the latest developments in the book market.
